Were looking for a talented Software Development Engineer in Test with strong Java skills to join our team. At Cognizant, were dedicated to helping leading companies transition to being digital, and this role is crucial to that mission. We need someone who is passionate about ensuring the highest quality of software, has a solid background in Java development or automation, and is eager to contribute to impactful projects. Role is for remote work but with 1 visit per month to your nearby Cognizant office and attendance once a quarter at the Warsaw office to meet with the team
Mandatory technical criteria:
- Strong commercial experience with Java
- RestAssured or equivalent API automation in Java
- Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Solid SQL and relational database skills
- Experience testing event driven architecture, events / messaging (preferably Kafka but could be similar)
- Docker / AWS
- Mocking tools (Preferably using Wiremock)
- 5+ years of experience in QA Automation
NICE-TO-HAVE or at least some experience:
- Kubernetes
- Contract Testing / Pact
- Observability and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, Kibana)
- Bug prevention and fail-fast mindset
- Mindset for knowledge sharing
- Proven analytical ability, problem-solving and risk management skills
- Fluent communication in English
