As a Senior Solution Architect you become a part of our Global Shared Services in Gdansk. Here, you won’t find factory machines or farmers. Instead, you will join over 400 colleagues dedicated to supporting all of Arla with IT, HR, financial and procurement operations. A value driven architect, who can span multiple technologies and take us to the next level.
In Gdansk, you will join the “DSI” release train within IT Solutions department. You are part of an architect group of 8 other technology oriented architects split between Germany, Denmark and Poland. You will be part of an agile team and responsible for the architecture in all deliveries and you will ensure the team can understand your technical guidelines and bring the business high quality solutions to realize the business value.
You are a team player who takes pride in solving complex dilemmas and facilitating the required discussions to ensure maximum focus on creating value. You will be responsible for roadmaps / strategies and target architectures in your area of responsibility. Together with your agile team you will prepare and participate in PI-plannings and demos of the deliverables of features to our business.
Close cooperation with other architects within the same Release train and outside the Release train, incl. Release Train Architects and Enterprise Architects is a absolutely must have mindset.
Also close cooperation with our Operations IT department regarding changes and handover is needed.
More specifically, your responsibilities include:
- Architecture responsibility for some interesting areas as global Facility incl. Meeting rooms and Video rooms, Microsoft AzureDevops, ServiceNow
- Enable new technologies like HoloLens for our digital transformation process
- Roadmaps / Strategies / Target Architectures
- Bring in your ideas to our Portfolio for the next years
- Be compliance to Arla processes and security policies
- Participate Team Meetings – incl. daily scrum, iteration planning
- Familiar to work in self-organizing agile teams
- Helps the team to produce high value products
- You will bring continuous improvement to the architecture solutions
- Monitor and report progress

Who are you?
You are focused and persistent about achieving goals and can create great collaboration between the product owners, Release Train Management, Enterprise Architecture and business. You will be working with a complex stakeholder environment, spanning different cultures. Thus, you have great facilitation skills and thrive engaging with people of different cultures and from various backgrounds. Also, you can link IT, business need to business benefits.
Furthermore:
- You have a master degree within IT or other relevant areas with a minimum 3 years of experience working in an Architect position
- Good understanding of architectural tasks
- Having experience in coordination between different areas of responsibility in complex deliveries and system environments
- You are creative and having the ability to help the team to develop innovative solutions
- You have a security mind set
- You are solutions oriented
- You speak and write English effortlessly
- Experience in working with agile methodology would be a plus
- Ability to travel is expected
- You have a strong business process understanding, allowing you to engage in dialogue with your business owners inside and outside IT
- You are good in balancing agile speed / designing easy solutions with always having the mindset of high stability / quality is a must have
